Can I use Google Vault instead of a backup tool?
No. Google itself states Vault is not a backup or archive tool. It stores only the most recent version of data and cannot perform mass restoration. For any recovery scenario, like accidental deletion, ransomware or admin error, you need a dedicated backup solution.
Where is my backup data stored?
Unlike most backup vendors, CloudM does not store your data in our own infrastructure. Your backups go directly to your Google or Amazon cloud storage. You control residency, cost and access. If data sovereignty or GDPR storage location matters to your organisation, this is a significant advantage.
