Notice of Sub-Processor Appointment: AI Providers for Customer Support
Published: 12th October 2026
Objection deadline: 26th October 2026
This notice is published under clause 8.3 of the CloudM Data Processing Addendum (DPA).
AI in Customer Support
CloudM uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help its support team handle customer support queries. CloudM has appointed Gemini (Google) and Anthropic (Claude) as Sub-Processors for this purpose. The Sub-Processors page at: Sub-processors | CloudM has been updated accordingly.
The AI Providers (as defined in the DPA) only process information contained in support requests submitted to CloudM’s support desk. CloudM stores support tickets and records generated by the AI Features (as defined in the DPA) in its cloud environment in the United Kingdom.
Our AI Providers help sort, draft and quality-check support responses. Some replies are reviewed by our team; others are sent automatically and clearly marked as AI-generated. You can request human handling or review at any time by contacting [insert contact details], including if you believe an AI response is incorrect. Our AI providers act on our instructions and do not use your data to train, fine-tune or improve their models.
Updated DPA
We have updated the DPA to describe CloudM’s use of AI Providers in handling support queries.
The updated DPA is available here.
How to Object
Under clause 8.3 of the DPA, you may object to the appointment of either AI Provider by
emailing legal@cloudm.io by 26 th October 2026.
If you make a justifiable objection, CloudM may, at its sole discretion:
a. stop using the relevant AI Provider to handle your support requests;
b. propose an alternative; or
c. if neither option is feasible, allow you to terminate the affected portion of the Services
and receive a pro-rata refund for that portion.
